Who We Are

The P.P. Smit Sports complex is home to the Hollywoodbets Bellville Cricket Club. As one of the oldest clubs in Cape Town they celebrated their 120th anniversary in 2016!  The club has 5 Senior Men's teams and 4 Junior teams. The men's 1st side plays in the WPCA's premier league, having emerged victorious as the league champions of the 2016/2017 season.

Our History

Bellville Cricket Club was established in 1896 and is one of the oldest clubs in the Western Province. Cricket is in fact the oldest organised sport played in Bellville. The club was originally known as The Willows Cricket Club and cricket was played at the well known Hardekraaltjie situated in Voortrekker Road Bellville.
